Interview Questions



I started my interview after I having an appointment with Ms Fong Sin Chii.
Q: Can you briefly introduce your Chatime outlet?
A: Before I start the Chatime in Festival City Mall, I had already had another two Chatime outlet in Genting Kelang and Wangsa Maju. I expand to Festival City Mall because it was a great chance to me to develop Chatime.

Q: How much does your franchise gross per day?
A: Normally we can sell 400 – 500 cups of tea per day. During the weekend or holiday, we can sell at least 600 cups per day. So after subtract the cost, Chatime in Kuala Lumpur Festival City Mall can earn around RM2000 per day.

Q: How does your outlet increase the positive reputation in the social?
A: We advertise our product with the internet. Facebook is one of way to promote our product. We also always think the new flavor to attract the new custormers. By the way, Teenagers nowadays also very supporting on Chatime.  

Q: How many Chatime outlets already in whole Malaysia? Which state has the less number of Chatime outlet in Malaysia?
A: There are already around 120 of Chatime outlet in whole Malaysia. The franchisers of Chatime are thinking to expand their outlet to Sabah and Sarawak. That’s why we cooperation with Air Asia to let people drink on the flight and bring Chatime to everywhere to let people know our product.


Q: Any more new outlet is going to be launch?
A: We hope Chatime can be develops at everywhere. We have our own plans recently. We had launched the new Chatime outlet at Wangsa Walk Mall. I think every shopping center and the place that need us and we will be there.

Q: How many hours do you work a day?
A: My working time is 12pm until 10pm every day. The full-timer of our outlet normally work 10 hours per day.

Q: Did your outlet provide training to new employee?
A:  Yes, we did. We’ll ask the new employee to see how and what we do during the working time. Then they should learn from the old employee. We also provide the recipe of Chatime to them and make sure they are not confusing on the topping job.

Q: How if a new employees did a mistake on the topping?
A: We will have a meeting and discuss the problems and if the problem is too serious and we will having a discuss of new employees should stay or stop the contract.

Q: How long is the franchise agreement contract last?
A: Five years for every contract.

Q: Are the market of Chatime is still growing?
Ya, it is still growing market for Chatime. I was very pleased about this.

Q: Any training need to attend by the one who buy the franchise?
Yes, the one who buy the franchise need to attend a workshop and training around for one week to Taiwan. And this training needs to complete first before they opening the business of the franchise. We won’t let them to start the business if they are not sincerely treating our business.

Q: Any field support provided for the franchise?
The headquarter will send an investigators to check on the employees of every outlet, they have to make sure the employees are doing their jobs. They have to make sure every employee is serious on their job.

Q: How much did you buy the franchise of Chatime?
I spend almost one million to buy the franchise of Chatime.

  1. Sorry for disturbance...i just moved nearby this place...i actually want to apply as tearista at this place n have 11 month experience working at another outlet n support several outlet...do they still have vacancy for tearista position now??
